Edge makes the best champion, in the WWE there are very few heel main eventers that can actually hold a match, and Edge is not only one of them but probably the best at doing it, with him as champ you can put him against people like Taker, Rey Mysterio...well maybe not Rey, remember the last time that happened? It wasn't nearly as big as WWE expected but maybe Rey, and knowing WWE they'd put Batista in that mix too, also if they would let Raw Superstars and Smackdown Superstars go against each other for a world title then you can put him against Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy (If they let him go back up to main event status, finish pushing him the rest of the way and what not) and you know they'd throw in Cena too, but if either Edge or Orton would go face for just a brief period of time, long enough for Edge and Orton to get a rivalry, I think that would be big, I'd like seeing it, you know it would be a good rivalry too, just don't throw Cena into the mix like always though, but HBK v.s. Edge, HHH v.s. Edge, Orton v.s. Edge, they all sound like good rivalries to me.
